Saunterer returns to the Solent

At 1730 BST on Saturday 23 August 2014 Saunterer returned to the Solent once again entering by Hurst Narrows in the north channel and running down to the Beaulieu River.   She moored in the river within 5 miles of where she was launched in 1900.

Saunterer sails again on 100 year anniversary of outbreak of World War 1

At 1300 on Monday, 4 August 2014 Saunterer was at sea once again passing in front of Dartmouth Castle where the 100th year commemoration of Britain’s entry into WW1 was marked with an important ceremony and the firing of cannon from the battlements.
